Solitude is the Best Medicine for the Soul

At some point, almost all of us have experienced periods when we feel lonely. Maybe after moving to a new area, after a breakup of a long-term relationship, or simply in stages of life when we are experiencing emotional growth.

In general, isolating ourselves is not recommended. Which is different from being alone. Isolating ourselves is when we voluntarily separate ourselves from the people around us by our own choice or perhaps to avoid interpersonal interactions with others. On the other hand, loneliness is a period that, if used positively, can be used to the fullest.

During stages of loneliness, we can take advantage of this time to get to know ourselves, either by reading topics of personal interest, or perhaps, practicing activities that are of interest to us, which for some reason we have not practiced before.

Additionally, we can learn a new trade, learn a new language, practice an activity or exercise, start a new health routine, if possible, travel (alone). The world looks very different when you listen to your own opinions without the interference of others.

Anyway, solitude, or the period of solitude, is a good time to grow, expand, and get to know ourselves. And remember, everything is cyclical, this period of solitude is not going to last forever so, grab your notebook and identify what things you can do to make the most of this time.
