I start this blog by saying that the comments I express today are for people who may be in difficult times, or rather in the eye of the storm!
In these days it has been “in fashion” to think positively when we have problems or situations that are difficult.
While it is true that there are many gurus, teachers, and therapists advocating the benefits of positive thoughts, it is my opinion that there are occasions when we need much more than positive thoughts to manage our day-to-day life, especially when the situations we face are difficult and positive thinking may seem useless.
There are times when it is advisable to use positive thinking, especially in our day-to-day lives. For example, at dawn, it is advisable to give thanks and express gratitude. On these occasions, it is important to think positively to prevent our emotions from getting out of control.
On the contrary, when we are in moments of despair or have gone through difficult unforeseen events, such as the death of a loved one, natural disasters, divorce, etc. In these cases, I believe that positive thinking works but I have noticed that it is difficult to maintain optimism.
It is good to understand that everything is energy, thoughts are energy, actions are energy. Instead of forcing yourself to think positively, the ideal is to identify activities in which you can transmute that energy of pessimism that comes hand-in-hand with difficult times. For example, actions such as writing, breathing, walking, cooking, exercising, teaching, etc. These are all activities with which we can transmute negative energy and avoid focusing only on pessimism. It is also advisable to use positive thinking in conjunction with these energy transmutation activities.
Have you tried any of these options?
Have they worked for you?
